That's very nice John, but entirely fails to take into consideration the thousands of us that don't want to do all that but have been sent a file from someone who has and can't now open it without going through all the palaver that vt2021 listed.
This can be solved once with the workaround you mention but in future this will no doubt become an issue again and again since the new Adobe CC subscription model doesn't allow for built in updates.
